Event Description:

You are invited to be part of a free, solution-focused Forum for employers, hiring managers and community leaders interested in attracting BC's skilled immigrant talent to live and work in the North.

On December 12, 2012, the Immigrant Employment Council of BC, together with the Prince George Chamber of Commerce and Initiatives Prince George are hosting "Attracting BC's Skilled Immigrants to the North", a full day Forum focused on practical tools, resources and real life experience and collaborative action planning.

We know that the North is struggling with labour shortages that are limiting the ability of local firms to take advantage of regional projects. Most of the 40,000 immigrants who settle each year in BC remain in Metro Vancouver. What will it take to tap into this skilled talent pool and bring these workers and their families to our communities?

Join us to learn more about tools and resources to help you find and attract BC's skilled immigrant talent.

**Seating is limited to two participants per company or organization.

The Immigrant Employment Council of British Columbia (IEC-BC), an initiative of the Vancouver Foundation, stimulates the integration of skilled immigrant talent into the province?s workforce by fostering solutions, building connections and being a champion to help employers attract and retain skilled immigrant talent.
