Northern Development Initiative Trust and the Prince George Chamber of Commerce invite you to join us January 24, 2013 for an informative lunch with the Honourable James Moore, Federal Minister Responsible for British Columbia, as he discusses priorities for the Government of Canada for 2013 and looks toward the upcoming federal budget.

Minister Moore, a graduate of the University of Northern British Columbia,  will take the opportunity to discuss a number of items relevant to British Columbians such as Transport and Infrastructure, International Trade, Arts and Culture and the Asia-Pacific Gateway and Corridor Initiative.

The presentation will also provide an opportunity for the audience to ask questions of the Minister, and provide input on the upcoming Budget 2013.

James Moore was first elected to the House of Commons in 2000, winning re-election in his riding of Port Moody-Westwood-Port Coquitlam in 2004, 2006, 2008 and most recently in 2011. In 2008, Prime Minister Stephen Harper appointed Minister Moore to the position of Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages – becoming the first Minister of Canadian Heritage from British Columbia.

After the most recent election, Prime Minister Stephen Harper re-appointed Minister Moore as the Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages and named him as the senior Minister for the province of British Columbia – the youngest senior regional Minister in Canadian history.
