Community Involvement Luncheon
 Panel Edition

Whether you are a business owner or employee, there are tremendous advantages to be found in community involvement. It's an excellent way to expand your networks, find new potential clients, and connect with locally-minded individuals. You can improve your business and personal brand through getting involved on Boards, hosting community groups, and much more.

At our June
27th luncheon, we are featuring top experts who have firsthand experience in running a business with excellence! These individuals understand the huge benefits of being involved in the community! In our "Panel Edition" luncheon, you will hear from not one, but three exceptionally community-minded people! They will be able to share their experiences, strategies, and stories:

-How they connect with the community (including strategies, techniques, and most       successful practices)
-What value community involvement has brought to their business
-How and why they have been successful

Being a community-minded business can be very personally rewarding - AND help your bottom line! Our panel members will answer all of your questions, and help you create the best strategy for your business.

This event is proudly brought to you by:Scotiabank

Panel Moderator Bill Quinn

Our panel moderator Bill Quinn, president at NuStride Executive coaching, has put together a series of questions to get the conversation going. Bill not only holds his Professional Certified Coaching (PCC) accreditation from the International Coaching federation, but is also heavily involved in the community as a volunteer - making him the perfect moderator for our luncheon. Bill believes in working with the community and giving back whenever possible - in roles such as President of Volunteer Prince George and Vice President of the Prince George Chamber.

Panel Member Wendy Giannisis

Wendy Giannisis is the sales manager at the Northern Lights Estate Winery. It has only been open since 2015, but has already made a huge impact. You'd have a hard time finding someone who hasn't heard of the beautiful winery on the river! Northern Lights Estate recently held its annual Climb for Cancer at the cutbanks: the event gets a great amount of community support. Wendy's excellence in customer service is a great addition to the winery and a fantastic example of our community's culture.

Panel Member Reza Akbari

Reza Akbari is the owner of the award-winning Shiraz Cafe and Restaurant. Being nominated for the Top 10 in the Small Business BC Awards (Peoples Primary Choice, 2016), Shiraz is no stranger to the spotlight. Shiraz stands out not only for its quality food and services, but also live music! Many local musicians appreciate the opportunity to play at Shiraz, which also provides guests a memorable dining experience.

Panel Member Michael Whitecotten

Michale Whitecotten is the owner and operator of MWatt Electric Inc. As a tradesperson, Michael brings a unique perspective to our panel. Michael is the number one go-to-guy when it comes to any Chamber staff and many members, because of his positive presence and quick action to help out in any situation.
