Prince George Chamber of Commerce and the University of Northern British Columbia Presents a Debate on Proportional Representation
With the Government of BC announcing a referendum on the electoral system, between the current First Past and Post system and Proportional Representation, the Prince George Chamber of Commerce and University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) have partnered to present a debate on the merits of both the current system and proposed systems.
Both Provincially accredited agencies have been engaged to provide debaters. Fair Vote BC has requested Mr. Peter Ewart debate on their behalf and the No BC Proportional Representation Society will be sending the Hon. Suzanne Anton, Q.C.

Hon. Suzanne Anton, Q.C. (No Proportional Representation Society):
Suzanne Anton was elected MLA for Vancouver-Fraserview on May 14, 2013, and was apppointed Attorney General and Minister of Justice on June 10, 2013. Before politics, Suzanne was a Crown counsil and a math teacher. She received a degree in Mathematics from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Laws at the University of British Columbia.

Mr. Ewart is a local columnist and writer; community activist, and spokeperson for the Stand Up for the North Committee.
