Tools to Help Business:
Move Up Prince George and the PG Business Directory

A Speaker Series Luncheon with
Initiatives Prince George CEO, Heather Oland

Learn about the Move Up Prince George website and how it can be utilized to benefit your business.  The website, which provides valuable information about living and working in Prince George, is also host to a FREE job posting portal which is advertised throughout Prince George, in job markets across Canada and at several job fairs each year.

In addition, with just over 2500 companies in Prince George without their own internet page, IPG has created an online Business Directory which is free to use for all Prince George companies. The Directory is searchable on Google and provides an additional web presence for those businesses which already have their own website. Finally, it also helps IPG promote the breadth and quality of Prince George companies to provincial, national, and international investors.

Join us to learn more about how your company can be included on the Directory!

Heather Oland joined Initiatives Prince George (IPG) in September of 2011 as Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer in June of 2012. She received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria and her Masters of Science from the University of Northern British Columbia. Heather also completed the Sustainable Community Development certificate through Simon Fraser University.
Heather is a full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners and worked as a professional planner in north central British Columbia for 10 years prior to joining IPG. Heather has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Asia Pacific Gateway Skills Table since 2013 and was the Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of the University of Emily Carr Art and Design and Chair of the University’s Finance Committee from 2010-2013.  She was named in February 2015 to the Two Rivers Gallery Board of Trustees.  She has lived in Prince George since 1996 with her husband and two children.
