Working as part of the Economic Development team, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of a Clean Tech Project which involves cluster development and facilitation of market development within the City.
You'll have considerable knowledge of Clean Tech related to Industries such as forestry, manufacturing, mining, oil & gas and will be confident in project planning, implementation and reporting. Your marketing and promotion experience will assist you in this role. You'll display independent judgment, self-motivation, creative problem solving, political acumen, communication skills, accuracy and detail, and skill in prioritizing and organizing a demanding workload.
To qualify for this Project Coordinator role, you have a diploma or degree in business, economics, technology, or a related field. Your professional experience includes experience working with companies in the natural resource sector, industry, and/or related professional services companies, preferably in a role involving clean technology, and the marketing and promotion of new products or services. One year of experience in an economic / community development role. You also have a valid full privilege Class 5 BC Drivers' License (or out of province equivalent).
This full-time term Project Coordinator position offers a starting wage of $ 32.89 per hour as well as an excellent benefit and pension package. This position requires periodic travel and work outside of traditional office hours to attend a variety of meetings. This position is expected to end in March 2020.
